midyear grades? confusion

so i sent in all of my stuff to pitt about a month ago today i got a letter in the mail saying the admissions committee reviewed my application and requested that i forward additional information, specifically my mid-year senior grades. it then goes on to say "once we receive this information, your application will be reviewed again and you will be notified about your status"

2 questions

1 did they look at my credentials and thought that i was on the bubble thats why they want senior grades?

2 the second time around will they know that they requested my senior grades putting me at advantage or will it be as if my app was just sent in?

i thought this was odd since pitt is a rolling admisions school

My D received the same letter back in October. After she received her first quarter grades she called Pitt and asked if she could fax first quarter grades, they agreed and she received her acceptance the next week.

Give them a call..good luck

thanks for the advice propsmom

I received the same letter in mid-October asking me for my first-quarter grades. I think I was on the bubble, but luckily I had a 3.7 first quarter and in addition I sent them teacher recommendations and an essay. I got accepted late november
