Midyear Report and Letter of Interest

I want to send a letter of interest to a school that I am really enthusiastic about. But I was wondering if I should send it with my midyear report or if I should send it separately.

Thanks.

If you applied to the school, then sending your mid-year report could be beneficial. On the contrary, the school is not going to care much about the grades if you haven’t applied. Sure, it will give the university a quick glimpse at you academically, but it doesn’t mean much until your school’s profile is in their hands and other academic documents. Long winded answer, I know, but don’t send in any grades unless you’ve applied. Sending the letter, though, by all means do it.

Personally, I would think most admission’s offices are pretty swamped right now with regular decisions (and just organizing the paper work). If you’ve applied, usually the school sends the midyear report so that it’s official. And if you have not, while I too would not be sending grades (as it would probably only be confusing as to filing), I wouldn’t guess it will stick to anyone’s memory at the school at this point. I am just thinking logistically about what the admission’s offices have on their desks right now… literally.
