Midyear Report for EA admits?

I would like to clear this question up. From many people, I have heard that EA admits do or that EA admits don't have to fill in the midyear report. From what I've gathered, it seems that perhaps we have to fill in the midyear report but it is not as urgent for us as it is for deferred students... what is the correct answer here? Thanks for your help!

Yup. Try and send it in as soon as you can, though.

We weren’t exactly clear on that either, peab.

My son defaulted to filling it out as soon as his 1st semester grades were final. I’m assuming that you don’t have anything to hide, right? It took my son all of about 4-5 minutes to submit his … and that’s only because he wrote a little paragaraph. You don’t have to write any comments at all if you don’t want to.

Like you, though, my son is still curious as to whether it was required. We’ll be watching this thread for an answer! :)

You already got one ;)

yes, EA admits have to fill out the MYR, but their deadline is later than RA kids. emails coming out tomorrow with details.

i submitted mine earlier and there’s no check in the box next to “midyear report”. does this mean mit just needs time to process it, or that my report didn’t go through and i should resubmit it? did this happen to anyone else?

^I asked my son, wellthatsokay, and he said that his midyear report box is still checked. And it’s still there when he tries to look at it.

okay, thanks for the information
