I'm on a gapyear, does my school need to fill in the midyear report? If so, what should it say?

You don’t need a midyear report. That’s for students taking classes.

^I think so, but it is a required form. I’m worried they wouldn’t know I’m on my gap year until they’ve considered my application, but might not consider my application until they’ve received a midyear report.

Not so sure it is required in all cases, Maxyend. I know my state flagship doesn’t require it, even for applicants who are still enrolled in high school. And, as you have noticed, for a student who’s out of school, it would report absolutely nothing.

You can contact the colleges and universities that you’re applying to, but I’ll bet you a nickel they’re all going to say they do not want a mid-year report from an applicant who has already finished high school.
