Midyear report question

Ok, so the second semester at my school is almost over. So are midyear reports required for colleges?

Also, how do colleges looks at midyear reports? Do they look at each term separately or just the final grade after 1 semester? Because my second term grades are much worse than my 1st term ones:

IB Math HL- B, C
IB English HL-A,A
IB Chemistry HL- A, B
IB History of Americas SL-B,A
IB Theory of Knowledge-A,A
AP Physics C-A,B

Oh the joys of IB! lol I think it depends what grading system your schools uses–semester, trimester, etc. I believe if you truly use a semester system (though if that’s the case I don’t understand how your second semester could almost be over…) then they will only look at the semester grades. Talk to your counselor and ask what grades he/she will be sending to the colleges, though.

My school uses a semester system, 2 in a year, and our first (sorry I said second :P) semester is almost over.

btw, are midyear reports required? If so, when’s the deadline?

I’m just kinda worried because this term was a lot harder than the previous and I don’t want colleges to see that I’m slacking off. Though the last 2 terms of the year will be easy because most of my IB teachers will just be reviewing the content with us.
