I applied to Williams early decision and was deferred to regular admission. I was looking at the website today to make sure I send everything I need to, and I was just wondering if someone could confirm/correct me.

From what I can tell, I need to send in the Midyear School Report from the Common App website and a transcript with my first semester grades. Is that correct? Instead of a transcript, can I have my counselor print out an unofficial report of my grades?

[Admissions – Williams College| First-Year Regular Decision](http://admission.williams.edu/apply/firstyear/regulardecision)

If you click on this link and then on “Mid-Year School Report” the Common Application Report sheet asks for an official transcript at the bottom of the first page. It might be helpful if you printed out the Common App counselor’s report (http://admission.williams.edu/files/2010/08/mid-year_report.pdf) and brought it to your counselor in the near future with the Williams admissions office address. The admissions office asks for the Midterm grades by no later than February 15th. Also, your high school counselor may appreciate a handwritten “Thank You” note! (That will help remind him/her to put your midterm transcript at the top of his/her “To do” list!

Hope this helps and hope to see you in the fall!

Ahh, thank you very much! I never thought to read the part that was for the counselor. And don’t worry, I’ll be sure to thank her profusely.

These conselors are the unspoken heroes of this entire process. They can’t get enough appreciation from us. Took time to call ours and thank her this morning.
