<p>A little confused about the midyear report. Do both the student and the GC report the grades? If the student has nothing new to report, then is the (student submitted) midyear report needed?</p>
<p>While this is the MIT forum, I am wondering what the protocol is for other schools. Is something sent by both student and GC or just GC sending grades?</p>

<p>I asked that of Molliebatmit and she said for MIT, it’s done by the student (self reporting). For the Common App., the counselor does it.</p>

<p>^ Yes, I believe you are supposed to fill it out too. Your guidance counselor should be explaining your system, though. (It’s likely Admissions is familiar with it already.)</p>
