for the midyear report, my counselor did not send the official copy of my 1st semester senior grade. she only filled out the midyear report form, which is downloadable at the common app site. is this still okay? other colleges dont seem to matter. they say either official 1st semester transcript or just fill out the midyear report form. but im not sure if cornell doesnt care either.

From what I have read about the Midyear here on CC it seems that Cornell is not that picky about it, and the most important thing is that you get the final grade report in at the end of the year. I believe it was Sparticus who didn't even get his sent in, and he's still there. Just be sure the end of year report gets sent in.

I got in early though...if you're a RD applicant the midyear is important to show you kept working.

but yeah, if your ED it all comes down to the final transcript...

do you think I should send a letter with my mid yr report detailing my situation or do you think I should ask my counselor to do it?

write it for your counselor in the third person, ask her if she's ok with everything in it, and ask her to sign it for you. that way you know what is being emphasized and can make sure it's the important things.

bump up to my question
