Midyear Report

How do I deal with this? Of course I'm planning to talk to my counselor about it, but I just don't really understand it. I already gave him a thank you card because I thought that when he did my School Report I wasn't going to ask him for anything else until I had gotten all my decisions back...

My counselor doesn't know me at all, so I don't know how the Midyear Report is going to be any different from the original School Report. Do they usually turn out to be the same? It seems redundant--does anyone know why they don't just require first semester transcripts?

Bump
please help

If it's redundant, that's not a bad thing... The college just wants to see that you're on track, taking the classes you said you would and getting about the same grades, with no sudden disciplinary problems or other issues. Don't worry about it; your counselor probably already has experience with this and won't be surprised when you come back with more forms. Just be polite, gracious, and appreciative.

What if I already graduated from school ? Should I only send the cumulative scores transcript ?

Wow tariqx, I don't know about that case, sorry. I don't imagine you'd have any midyear reports to send, but I'd check with the Common App help staff on that one.

Thank you Geek_mom...

Bump.......

hey tariq, I'm also a high school graduate.. my midyear report and final report had the same info as the first report (same transcript attached, and same answers, but left out the reco letter)...They were submitted online though btw.
