Does Syracuse need one? I can't find it anywhere.
Also, does the report mean I need to send another transcript as well?
Thanks!!

Yes Syracuse requires a midyear report. It is found on the document section of the common application. And yes, midyear report is your transcript. Hence the word "report". And Syracuse is going to ask you for your final report also so be prepared for that too.

When do they ask for the final report and how does it affect your decision?

You only send the "final transcript" to the school you are attending.

Check with your guidance office. At my son's school, his mid-term report is his 2nd semester report card including mid-term test grades and re-calculated gpas based on those grades!

The final report is indeed sent to the school you plan to attend and you send that in as soon as you get final grades. Too many bad grades may result in a rescinded offer but one C or D wouldn't kill you. An F can result in having the University contact yuo to give an explanation on why you're slacking.

wait so im a little confused... someone in another topic said they already got in... so im assuming this means they require your midyear eventually but it doesnt have to be for an admissions decision?

You only need to send a midyear if you are an RD applicant or were deferred from ED.

You only need to send the final transcript if you will be attending. If your grades drop considerably they may put you on academic probation upon entering, or can even rescind their offer (although you would really have to bomb your senior year for them to do this).

right but my question is if im RD do i send it in before or after they make their decison on me..because im sure they're going to want it eventually anyway
