I noticed Yale wants their midyear reports postmarked by Dec 31, why so early compared to other schools?

Wtf, we don't have finals till late Jan.

this might be a dumb question...but if you're accepted EA, do you need to send in the mid-year report?

Go to
http://www.yale.edu/admit/freshmen/application/timetable.html

That page says--
February 15
Postmark deadline for your Mid-Year School Report.

asterstar: I'm wondering the same thing. Does anyone know?

Yes, SCEA admits need to send mid-year reports.

everyone needs to send in mid-year reports.

on the actual mid year report, it says Dec 31......though Feb 15 would make quite a bit more sense

I think Feb. 15 is just for RD applicants (look at lurker's link again - it's under the "For Regular Decision Candidates" headline)...I applied EA and sent mine in with my application. I think they wanted it already to see what grades we were currently earning rather than just see what classes we were taking.

AGHHH it better be February 15th for EA acceptees, my finals aren't until late January...and our administration is inefficient and backwards anyways, so no way is mine going out on time.

God, I love being in the "worst urban public school system in the country".
