Midyear Reports

I was just curious, what did everyone send in on their midyear reports? I mostly talked about band on mine...that I got into an Allstar band, performed three events in a solo and ensemble event, how I've been trying to convince the quintet I'm in to stay together to perform at the rest of our school's concerts, and I thought I should include something math related, since it is MIT afterall, so I talked about how I had rewritten the Heron's formula last year in an attempt to simplify it and was finally able to apply it earlier this month.

What did everyone else put? With the type of students who apply, I'm sure someone has something interesting, and it'll help with the anxiety most of us have :D

P.S. what is the correct punctuation when including a smiley face? do you include a period, or does a smiley replace the period? I kind of feel silly thinking about it, but I have yet to read something about the proper use of smiley faces.

I told them I made 1.4 Million $:D

Why do you need to go to MIT then ? :stuck_out_tongue:
I rickrolled them ! ^^

To make more(and get a bit of my research work done…only a bit;))

Listed (in bullet form) that I improved my SAT score to a 2330, was named a National Merit Finalist, my academic team won 1st in the district championship, I went to the Philippines over winter break, and that my best friend and I won the yearbook senior superlative for (what else?) best friends!

I talked about pineapple pizza.

imo is getting accepted at MIT folks!!! Pineapple pizza treat:)

Talked about a witty/weird Moroccan proverb (that’s where I’m from) :D

i put down one of my favorite quotes, “if opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door”

i should’ve talked about what i had for dinner though

Haha^^^ That is actually cool!!
