Might a current MIT student critique my MIT essays?

I finished the creativity essay, almost done with the world essay, and I have the significant challenge essay outlined. I just need to have them critiqued/revised such that I can have a second opinion on them and not miss any grammatical/mechanical errors.

How about asking a teacher?

My current and former English teacher have a lot of work. My teacher last year is still finishing writing the 40 college recommendations, and my current English teacher has a lot of papers to grade. I just need an opinion on the essays to see if they work or not. If there are no takers I understand.

You should really ask a parent or another teacher - I doubt anyone on this board is going to be able to tell you if your essays ‘work’. If you think that we have some sort of ability to tell you whether your essays will appeal to the admissions office…well, we don’t.

It only takes them 10 minutes to read over your essays and give you feedback. Not a significant commitment at all.

Although they might be more willing if you put some effort in, as in, handing them what you think is your best work. Not an “outline.”
