Might fail a class needed to transfer?

With these units I'm taking and applied with during the winter, I'm just barely at 60/61 transferable units. It's very likely that I'll fail Calculus 1. Would the UCs be forgiving? More in particular, Davis? If I did fail, I could try taking it during our summer session which ends well before Davis starts up next fall. Anyone have similar experiences?

guessing SOL

let the schools know but failiing is usually 75% recind

math is the most important subject. I would say 100% rescind, but depend on your major. Can you negotiate with your professor? atleast get a C?

Watch video lectures and pass the class

i’m admitted to the managerial economics major at davis. i just spoke with him and he isn’t going to cut me any slack. however, it is possible to pass the class. just very very very unlikely.

^ if you took stats then you should be fine because calc isn’t required for pre-managerial econ majors

i’m currently taking elementary stats right now as well. the problem is, i need the units from calculus to maintain the minimum 60 transferable units.

You NEED to pass the class, otherwise it is extremely likely you will be rescinded. Do whatever it takes- tutoring, one on one time with the professor, etc. Universities aren’t exactly very forgiving when it comes to major prep, math/english requirements and the 60 unit minimum needed to transfer.

Perhaps your college has the option to make it pass or fail, where you take the class without a letter grade to pass it.

alright guys, i submitted my concerns through the myadmissions site and was just informed that i may withdraw from the course and it will not affect my admission. however, if i remain in the course and fail, it will most likely affect my admission and the admission may be rescinded. of course, my case was specifically reviewed and handled as such.
i just spoke with my professor the other day and he put it bluntly. he told me what i had to do which was score nearly perfect on the next exam and comprehensive final. he made sure that i understood he wasn’t one to give me any slack so i think my best option is pretty clear. see you guys next fall!
