<p>Im taking introduction to psychology and i thought its going to be easy but the tests were not as easy as i thought so now even if i got an A at the final most likely im going to end up with a C </p>
<p>Do you think i should ignore the final and retake the class next fall?</p>
<p>my gpa is 3.25 and i already have another D in computer science to retake, a C would would pretty much destroy my chance to tag UCSD</p>

<p>I thought UCSD was stopping its TAG program starting this year? Correct me if I’m wrong.</p>

<p>I really don’t want a C in the final gpa, it wont get up to 3.5 if i got a C, i only need to retake my computer sci class and get couple of A’s to transfer to UCSD, but it wont happen with a C</p>

<p>Retaking a D or an F for a better grade, the better grade would be calculated towards the GPA for UC’s</p>

<p>I assume by the poster using the term “next” fall, they actually mean this fall, fall of 2013. Otherwise, Harren would have more time to raise his/her GPA. </p>
<p>Harren- are you registered for any summer classes? You could always take one or two UC-transferable classes you enjoy that could be easy GPA boosters if you pass the psychology course. </p>
<p>You mentioned that if you pull an A on the final exam, you will receive a C in the class. Is it realistic that you will be able to get an A on the exam if you have been doing poorly on past exams? If I were in your spot I would still take the final, but assume I would be receiving a D in the class, and then re-take it over the summer.</p>
<p>Yeah, UC San Diego last TAG will be this year for admission of Fall 2014. </p>
<p>Do you think you can get a withdrawal (W) from the class? Unless the deadline has passed. That won’t affect your GPA for the semester. </p>
<p>I did that what I signed up for an astronomy class (to fill the physical science section of IGETC) but ended up almost getting a B or C. That was a no-no. I withdrew and took Earth Science the next semester with a high A. </p>
<p>I don’t know how UC San Diego will respond to a D or F.</p>
