What do you think military service will do for you that 4-years of college won't? You might also consider a gap year. Some kids do that to help them "mature".

If you need help maturing, you might want to think of other ways you can accomplish that.

Maybe mature was the wrong word, I understand that joining the military is not a fun thing to do. It is something that I strongly respect and am willing to do.

I love this country and would be willing to fight and possibly die for it if necessary.

Who knows, I might or I might not go into the military. It is too early for me to tell right now.

dank08, you have to apply for ROTC scholarships. It's an online application.
If you are thinking of going Army, I'm pretty sure they don't have the Calc./Physics requirements that Navy has for ROTC.

Someone suggested Coast Guard. There is no ROTC program for CG. To be a Coast Guard Officer you have to grad. from Coast Guard Academy or go through Officer Candidate School after obtaining your degree.
I had a friend who quit college after one year, joined the Coast Guard and earned his four year degree while in the CG. He became an Officer and was a Coast Guard consultant on the set of the Aston Kutcher movie, "The Guardian" (a good movie if you've never seen it).
