Military Friendly Schools?

I am in a military academy and I was wondering if anyone knew of any med schools that are military friendly and not USHUS? I am already commited so if anyone knows of any schools that like military applicants that would be a lot of help. Thanks.

I think that you will find that most medical schools are pretty friendly to military guys. In fact, my interviewers at several schools were military guys. At my medical school, I would say that there are 3-4 military academy guys in my class. That’s on par with Stanford and Duke representation.

Eastern Virginia Medical School is in Norfolk, VA - pretty much right next to the largest naval base in the world. When I interviewed there, I remember seeing lots of pictures of their students being sworn in on naval ships at the base and the tour guide said they have a lot of Navy (and other branches) HPSP students. And obviously the surrounding area has lots of Navy personnel. Probably won’t get much friendlier than that (without going to USUHS).

But like mmmcdowe said, most medical schools will look favorably on prior military service.
