Military relation on the SAT registration

Hello, I am going to take SAT II math II and physics so I was registering for the october date, everything was ok until I found a field called military relation with these three options:

Active duty
Member of reserve corps (something like that)
None of my parents have military relation

The thing that one of my parents is in active duty, but not in the US army, should I leave that option in blank or check it?.

Is you parent in the US military? If so, mark active duty.

The good news is that your answer does not matter in the grand scheme of things. Collegeboard will use your answer to sell your names to organizations who want to advertise to students of certain demographics. They may also use it when they publish national summary reports about students taking the SATs.

Would you like to receive a bunch of advertisements meant for students with active duty US military parents? If so, check the active duty box. If not, then don’t. There’s nothing at stake for you.
