hi guys, does anyone know how and when will milton send their decision letters?

Aww I thought you were going to tell me that they had just sent emails out. but just scan through the threads there are a few that discuss times

Snail mail all the way. I think we received Monday or Tuesay

What about for international applicants?

I was wondering about this. My daughter applied to Andover, Exeter, Hotchkiss and Milton and received a Fed Ex package from Andover and emails from Exeter and Hotchkiss (admitted to all three) but nothing from Milton.

My daughter received mail from Milton today (US Mail). We are local.

BUMP

(ten char)

Just received an email that they sent all mails out Saturday morning - both domestic and international. So everyone should be receiving the letter early next week. They say they only mail out the decision letter and no email

Received Milton’s FedEx package this afternoon, international/Asia.

I’m from Hong Kong and I didn’t get my letter today… So does that mean I was either waitlisted or rejected?

@perfectionistic, I have no idea, but you should definitely receive something soon, and good luck!

I know a 9th grade, female, int’l student, is going to decline Milton in favor of Andover so good luck to anybody on the wait list. It’s not a knock on Milton but Andover is Andover, and Asian parents value prestige a whole bunch.

Thanks, BExcelsior. I think I probably was rejected. :(

WOOOOOO! It just came by mail, and I’ve been accepted to Milton Academy. By the way, it wasn’t Fedex or anything.

Was it a small or big envelope?

i hope I got in. Anybody from the west coast get their letter? I live in CA, so it might come tomorrow

It was a big orange envelope, but I guess it’s not that big, because it fit in the mailbox. The envelope was dated March 10th, but sent by priority mail, so it probably depends on what time your mail gets delivered during the day.
I live in the south too, so that’s probably why it’s here earlier. Good luck to all of you ^^

Big orange envelope arrived today. Interesting to see how the different schools notify you. We’ve had the range from the Fed Ex mailer on Saturday morning to email to “Go onto our website” to snail mail.

waitlisted. Anybody know the chances of being taken off the list?

Rejected. Good luck to the rest of you though…

I’d think getting off Milton’s wait list would be not as hopeless as some others. Though lower than Andover, Exeter and St.Paul’s, Milton has comparable matriculation stats and SAT scores to those of Deerfield, Groton, and Lawrenceville and better ones than those of Hotchkiss and Choate, people just don’t seem to be flocking to it as much, especially in Asian/Int’l circles. Maybe it is because it’s 50/50 day/board and only accepts 10% international students.
