I know uc's give you until spring to finish the 60 units. but is there a unit requirement when applying?

I think it’s 30

Unless I’m mistaken, there is none

its better to have some units before you apply. i think there is a minimum gpa to apply like 2.5 or something, don’t recall but you can look it up. if you have ap units it won’t hurt. just remember to get at least 60 semester units or 90 quarter units at the end of spring before you transfer

thanks for replying everyone. well, I just called some of the uc’s about this and some said there is no unit requirement and some said if I don’t have 30 units, I will be considered as lower division standing instead of junior status.

Has anyone here applied with under 30 units and got accepted to most of the uc’s?

There is no unit requirement, but you are less likely to be accepted is my guess. Why take the guy who has like 20 or 30 units when they still have a long way to go in a short time? If it was up to me, I would take the guy with the same GPA who has 45-50 units done already.

well the people who applied under undeclared with few units had a better average of getting in then the rest of the applicant pool

The “avg.units-applied” column includes the units earned in the fall in which they apply, correct?
