If he has all A’s his GPA is fine (assuming those A’s are unweighted).

Your stats seem on par, although, unfortunately, you’re right about your EC’s just hope your recs/interviews/essays will pull you up a bit. good luck!

Your ECs are not the worst ever. Write a good essay and avoid academic topics. Focus on you as a person. If you write a great essay, you will have a solid chance.

I was accepted to Princeton this past application cycle.

My stats were very similar (class rank, SAT score, and to some extent ECs), but you are a bit stronger in the SAT II area. Overall, you are a decent applicant and can only enhance the package by:

[ul]1. Retaking the SAT I exam. A 2280 is an excellent score, but getting a score above 2300 would [more than double your chances of admission](http://www.princeton.edu/admission/applyingforadmission/admission_statistics/). Given that you lack any significant hooks, doing this would be in your best interests.
[]2. Increasing your involvement in your extracurriculars, if you haven’t done so already. What do you do as president of the Spanish Honor Society? How have you made that relevant to the students in your school? How have you contributed to your community?
You see where I’m going here.
[]3. Your essays. I mentioned it above, but just because this is so important, I’ll say it again: YOU MUST NAIL THESE. THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION.
[/ul]

I hope my post didn’t make you anxious at all. Remember, just relax, get of CC, and think about something meaningful that will help you express yourself in a concise fashion to the admissions committee! And if Princeton doesn’t work out (though I hope it does), remember that many institutions would be thrilled to have an excellent student like you.

You seem like a pretty run of the mill asian applicant. Which puts your chances at whatever the acceptance rate for run of the mill asian applicants are. Except you’re pretty good at physics.

Btw, that Analysis course you’re taking next year? Most likely not a grad level course (at Princeton the first class math majors take as freshmen is Analysis).

We kinda have similar stats, seeing as I am an Asian male as well. For what it’s worth, I made a chance thread a year ago and I got into Princeton (by pure luck) and I have a much lower SAT score.
