Mini-fridge

Any suggestion as to where I should start looking for them?

Local department stores, depending on where you live. If you are in the States, try Target or Sears.

Yeah I'd say Sears

One thing to check on is that many colleges prescribe a certain type of microfridge and won't allow many others.

Make sure before you buy that you don't have those restrictions.....

If you have a membership to Costco or Sam's Club....go there. They carry a lot of college stuff at decent prices.

i'd try target. sometimes they sell mini fridges with other useful things inside like irons and cofffee pots (if you need those things)

I got a nice one from Costco. Regular price was 159.99 and I got it for 99.99. There were only three left. Even though I had to buy it so early, it just meant i got to store my goodies in there and no one was ever the wiser. :)

I recently bought a 3.1 cu. ft. Fridgidaire at Lowe's for $158, which may seem a bit more than normal, but it has a separate freezer compartment, i.e. it's own door to the freezer section, which makes it much more useful than the little box freezer within the refrigerator section you find it most mini-fridges. It stands on the floor and is about 2'X2'. I have a CD/radio sitting on top of it.

I think it would make the transfer from dorm to apartment quite nicely.

If you don't mind buying online, you can land some good ones for good prices at Amazon, Buy.com, and Overstock.com.

For regular stores, I'd add Best Buy to the list.

I got a huge GE 4.3 cu ft fridge from Walmart for like $90.

Another costco buyer here. Got one for 99 bucks, its huge, and well built, and cheap. Score

walmart is where its at
