Mini Orientation (1 Day) Vs. 3 Day Orientation

Hi guys! Sorry jas0n I didn't post this in your other thread cause I wasn't sure how much attention it would get.

What is the difference between the one day orientation and the 3 day one? Are there costs and benefits to both?

Haha, no problem. I'm not forcing anyone to post in my question thread. The one day is basically all the dry, academic presentations held in the three day session. The three day session allows you to spend time in the dorms and meet about 60-80 people (you will be participating in activities as a huge group). Full SPOP is definitely a great idea to get you pumped for college. It's truly fun-filled, and I'd strongly recommend it to anyone. The staff members are selectively chosen and will provide you with a great time. Here's some insight: Parents, including mine, surprised all the students in my dorm by coming in with their bedsheets wrapped like togas. Some of the men were topless O__O (yes old, hairy men AHHH!!).

ok, the last sentence just made my decision for me.

one day it is! :D

sounds fun! 3 days for me ;PP

you don't have to bring your parents. Most students didn't bring their parents. but I recommend full spop(3 day) too. One day orientation is just the boring part of spop.

You'll make friends and bond with them in just 3 days, some people cry at the end of spop when we were about to leave.

Yea...half of my group cried. Actually, I remember I didn't even sleep for the last two days of SPOP. Most of us stayed up screwing around or going out where activities were held. The worst part is we lost one of our fellow spoppers over the summer in a car accident. RIP Momo Nakamura.

OMG i didnt even read what everyone else said, but i saw jas0n post and if he went to the third one, i think he would've STRONGLY suggested the three day one. I GOTTA SAY, go to the THREE DAY ONE as well!!! shiet!!!! memories 4 lyfe! omg i still keep in touch with them they're like my bros.

omg jason dont tell them ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAHAH!!!!!

I don't really get the SPOP thing. Can someone please explain? Do you have to pay for it since it sound like you get to sleep and eat at the school? Is there a lot of space or do you have to apply really early to get in? Where are the students sleeping anyway? In dorm?

that should cover everything

yea, go to the full spop. you'll be able to make friends early on and be in a college enviroment minus the learning part (for now..).
i went to the mini spop last year and it felt like a waste of money. i should have just done academic adv. .. at least that was for free.

what? I read through the whole page, chexmixbbq and I still don't know if we have to pay for it or not. Please tell me that it's free.

Not Free....

ok, mini spop for me then. I can't afford that. Oh man, and i was looking forward to that too

Go to real SPOP if you can it's fun.
