Minimum GPA requirement

What's the minimum GPA a high school stident should have to get accepted into the Aerospace Engineering program at Texas A&M?

*student

For freshman applicants GPA doesn’t count as such, it is class rank that is considered. Engineering is primarily full of auto and academic admits. So, if you are from TX ( top 10%) and meet the minimum test score in Math OR anyone in the top 25% AND 1300 SAT or 30 ACT (meeting all min.required in each section, at one sitting, with writing section). If you are below the top 25% cutoff, your chances are extremely slim (almost impossible now).

I got into A&M with a 3.29. Though my SAT was 1420 and I was just barely below top 25%. With all my math I’m sure I’d probably have gotten into engineering, but physics was my first choice major.

I think 3.3 is a good cutoff.
