Minimum grades

Do you guys know the minimum grades we have to maintain to prevent acceptances from being rescinded? I heard from several people that as long as we get above C's we should be fine. But I also heard that a student from my school accepted to Stanford got in trouble for getting a B.

Could someone please elaborate on this?

im pretty sure getting Bs is fine...as long as u dont go from a straight A student to like 6 Bs in 1 semester

haha, if you get a B or two, it's fine. They just don't want to see a significant drop (i.e. going from like straight-A to straight-C or so forth). Same thing for courseload. You're basically not allowed to drop any academic courses at the semester. That's understandable, though.

I have the same question... and do any of you guys have anecdotal evidence? Because It's pretty unfulfilling to rely on unsupported opinion

Well, I don't want to encourage slacking, but your grades do have to drop pretty significantly. I'm a freshman at Yale currently and I have a friend who went from all A's to B's and two C's even (she also dropped an academic class, though she was carrying a pretty heavy courseload), and her admission was not rescinded.

I had 7 B's total in my transcript. Only twice did i have straight A's. I got into Princeton ED. But then again, i was under unique stresses, so i suspect that the adcoms overlooked my "bad" gpa. No c's, but i was in top 1.5% of class.
