Do internships, medical schools, and other opportunities look upon you unfavorably if you complete the basic pre-medicine requirements?

No, at least not for med school. That's why you can major in anything and still be premed.

what about for internships and if you are applying to like top 10 medical colleges? You can have simply a year of General Biology and thats good enough?

Yes. For med school admissions it is enough.

However, I have read that non-science majors do struggle more in the first two (classroom) years of med schools than non-science majors.

Thats ok, as long as my question was if a double bio and chemistry major with a 3.8 science GPA is looked upon EQUALLY with someone with a Latin major but ALSO with a science GPA of 3.8
