Minnesota or Purdue?

Hey, I'm an intended Chemical Engineering student who lives in Indiana. I was accepted to both Purdue University's First Year Engineering program and University of Minnesota's College of Science and Engineering. For miscellaneous reasons, I have to pay OOS at Purdue even though I'm from Indiana. Because of this, Minnesota's quite a bit cheaper but it's colder and a lot farther away from home. I have to commit by around mid to late April and I'll be taking a tour of Minnesota soon. Any suggestions or more pros and cons?

Minnesota of course! It has the best chemical engineering major ;)

Purdue has requirements for first year engineers, and they’re not easy to meet, so you may not be able to choose your major. For the certainty, the cost, and program quality, I’d pick UMN. In addition, the Twin Cities beat West Lafayette hands down… and as far as weather goes, it’s not like you’re comparing to SoCal. :D
