Well, I have been accepted to all three schools that I applied to:
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis/St. Paul (Institute of Technology)
University of Wisconsin, Madison (College of Engineering)
Michigan Tech

Michigan Tech has offered me a scholarship which would make it just a couple thousand more a year than it would the other two, so price isn't a deciding factor. Wisconsin has reciprocity with Minnesota, so I pay the same whether I go to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

Wisconsin overall seems to be the more difficult school to get into and is higher ranked everywhere. However, the Institute of Technology is also very selective and has all high-ranking programs. One factor I am considering here is that my competition may be easier in Minnesota, which would possibly be a good thing.

Minneapolis seems to a be a place with more potential job opportunities. Additionally, I really enjoy theater and things like that, so to be able to see things like that more often seems pretty awesome to me. Also, I do like the city and the huge campus. I have been to Madison (I have been on campus for state Forensics, but I haven't really visited them) and...the location itself doesn't appeal to me nearly as much.

Minnesota's dorms don't seem all that great....especially when considering what I saw when I visited. However, it's not very difficult to take a little trek to the library with an extra LCD and my handy laptop to the floor underneath the IT library :-P

Michigan Tech has giant ice sculptures in the shape of Spongebob Squarepant's pineapple house. Yes, that's a deciding factor :-P

The thing is that I am wondering where I would be better off. At this moment, I am fairly set on Minnesota and will be making my final decision soon. My questions are:
Job-wise, would I be better off with Madison when people look at my resume or would the difference between the two school be negligible?

Is there something at Madison (such as Pineapple houses) that is so spectacular I should considering my decision to go to Minnesota?

To what extent would my competition be greater at Madison (if at all).

Despite the rankings, what is the difference in their computer/electrical engineering programs? Would Minnesota have better equipment and more money? How about the professors?

Is there anyone who attends any of these three schools? If so, any comments would be appreciated. If there is someone who transfered between these two schools and could comment, that would be awesome.

Thanks everyone!

EDIT: I thought I would add that I am coming from a small town
