<p>Minor is basically a "miniature version" of major.</p>
<p>You have to apply for it, but the requirement is not as much as the major, and once you approach a minor, you get to study a special concentration of that area.</p>
<p>For example, let's say your major is Economics. If you want to add mathematic aspect to it, you may apply for Mathematics Minor.</p>
<p>But unlike Major, it's not required for graduation.</p>
