Minor Help

So… I’m really indecisive. Through all my college years, I’ve changed my major a lot. I started with computer science and moved onto English, and then I went back to CS again. After that, I changed to legal studies. This past year I’ve finally settled into writing, and I could not be happier. I’ve always been passionate about writing, and it’s the one thing that I feel I’m truly great at. My problem now is that I’m not so sure how well that holds up in the job market.

My solution was to add a minor; however, I’m not sure exactly what to minor in. Since I’m studying technical writing, I thought it would be smartest to add a CS minor. It would also take me only a few classes to finish up since I’ve already taken so many and I really enjoy coding. The only problem is that I didn’t do too well in those classes. My GPA for CS is really low because I nearly failed one or two of the classes. Granted, I’m sure I could retake a few now and do much better. It’s just that I’m not really sure that I won’t fail again in the classes I haven’t taken yet.

The other option I’m considering is a legal studies minor. I’ve taken only one LS class so far, but I did fairly well and I enjoyed it. It’s just that LS is a very liberal studies and I’m afraid it doesn’t mesh well with technical writing. I feel like I wouldn’t have a great shot in the job market compared to if I did a CS minor.

I guess it all comes down to this: should I minor in something that I enjoy and that goes well with my major but that I’m not very good at? Or should I minor in something I enjoy and am good at but that doesn’t go well with my major?

Thanks in advance!
