I was just wondering if it is possible to be a Kelley major but still receive a minor in Economics?

Yes, you only need three more courses beyond E202 (excluding E370). But, you should take some higher level Math courses also. As an alternative, you can take the business economics (You need 7 courses for this major) within kelley. Some courses are similar to those from Economics. It is actually easier to take the Econ minor since you get to take 4 fewer courses. But, Kelley has a highly praised econ consulting workshop with excellent placement record. You should look around in following link. I am not sure if that is only for the business econ major. Math is would be important in both cases if you are serious.

ace,

Thanks for the advice. What I was thinking about doing was double majoring in accounting and finance and then minoring in econ. Do you think this is unnecessary or would help me in the future?

OGmudboner,

Yes, it may be useful if you are interested in econ and potentially are thinking about consulting. However, I think a more popular route is to take Tech Management co-major in Kelley which requires a minimum of 3 courses (G345 is covered under finance). If you are going to work for a manufacturer, you will find this co-major more useful.
