Minor in finance?

Minor in finance

I may be asking silly question but please forgive :) I know very few about college majors.
I’m accepted at Babson (and several other colleges) and 80% I’m going to attend this institution. I want to major in entrepreneurship. So my question is: can I do minor in finance? Is it possible? Will it be effective for my future; I mean will firms take this fact into consideration. And also, someone on this forum said that you can take some electives in other business areas, what is the difference between doing minor and taking electives (both in finance)

Thank you

Babson is a solid school, I didn't even apply there b.c it was too expensive and the school size was too small for my taste.

When I went to a Wachovia presentation in NYC, I asked the Wachovia Securities presenter if he knew about Babson. He told me "We know its a good solid business school. But we don't do recruiting there, we mostly recruit at the ivies and top colleges such as UVA, UNC, Duke, Stanford, and whatnot."

Take that for what its worth. I would go to Babson if it wasn't so expensive and had more people (I think there are only like 1800 undergrads...WAY TOO SMALL FOR MY TASTE!)
