Minor in Information Science

Is it relatively easy for someone with no prior experience to minor in Information Science? I'm contemplating a major in psych with a minor in IS.

Or…how difficult would it be to double-major? Just covering all of my bases here :)

not sure you can double major because info science is in CALS. Minoring seems to be pretty easy though (not too many required classes)

info sci is in CALS, CAS, and engineering

yeah, the IS website supports tmk39’s info.

bumpity bump…did anyone major/minor in IS who wants to share their experience?

I’m also wondering how much math is involved…I was never really a math person, but I love working with computers. I know that you need statistics for both the major and the minor (not too much of a problem, I’m getting credit for AP Stat and I’m planning to take Psych 3500), but the major also calls for calculus and linear algebra. How much is math used in web programming, and the other areas of IS? I’m really much more interested in the human/information relationship than the hardcore math and science, and I figured that if I majored in psych and minored in IS, I could go into a field such as human relations.

Any thoughts? lol, maybe I should wait until I see my academic advisor x]
