What should I minor in with a statistics degree if i want to go into business? I want to either do philosophy or rhetoric.

The choice between philosophy and rhetoric seems pretty equal to me, no competitive advantage in either. Pick what you’d enjoy most.

Why did you ask this? Are you expecting one of them to have some secret demand in the business world? They’re both things that you should study because you enjoy them and not much more.

You specifically asked if you want to go into business so the answer is neither. minor in computer science (if possible), business (once again, if possible), mathematics and/or economics. If your degree is in statistics you will be wanting to market yourself as a quant/analyst type. Philosophy definitely involves analyzing, but not as it pertains to business needs specifically which is the problem. Everything I just said is moot if you are going to an Ivy League which then a philosophy or rhetoric minor would be just fine.
