I am a psych major, second-year, with only three more gen. ed/degree required classes left to take. Once those are completed, I'm going to have a loooooot of freedom in choosing which lower-division classes I'd like to take.

To clarify: I didn't take a billion AP courses in high school, so I will NOT be Jr/Sr status until I am in fact a junior. So the only upper-division psych classes I can take are the 2, 3, 4 offered every quarter... if they aren't full by the time I get around to enrolling. And yes, I did talk to the Psych Dept. No, I cannot get a waiver for any other upper-division psych classes.

I am looking for a minor that will complement my psych major. I looked at Poli Sci, Law and Society, and the Health Care ones, but they really don't interest me, and as a psych major planning to become a psychologist (you know, the counseling kind?), I don't think they will be too helpful in the long run.

However, many people struggle with their religious beliefs and practices, and sometimes they get in the way of living a healthy life. In order to help all clients of all religious (or non-religious) backgrounds, I feel that I should have a firmer grasp on all of the major religions.

So it all comes down to this: I don't know anyone who has a major or minor in religion. Can anyone give me pointers? How difficult would you say the classes are, in comparison to your average upper-division? Do you have difficulty getting into the required classes every quarter, or are there usually enough spaces available? And what about the teachers? Any I should take? Any I should avoid like the plague?
