Does minoring in something non-science related like a history, english, or language help at all for increasing chances of med school acceptances? I talked to an undergrad admissions officer and they said it makes you look more well rounded.

Does it help at all or is it just worthless?

No, won’t help at all. Can be fun, though, and obviously won’t hurt.

Thank you.

Would double majoring in two science related fields help at all?

Does it just not even matter what your major/minor in as long as you do pre-med?

You hit the nail on the head.

The only exceptions are, for the most part, vocational majors (eg nursing, allied health sciences, etc).

To clarify on GS’s comments: those are BAD. Everything else is equally good.

Some top universities do not even offer “Minors”. As such, they are useless. Take the courses for the experience and for what you will learn. Whether they amount to a Minor or not is really irrelevant.
