Minor?

Hello,
I am currently an economics major doing a concentration in finance.

I wanted to add in a minor, and I was considering doing statistics. Would this be helpful at all with my major? I eventually want to go into data science.

I was considering computer science, but I decided I would self learn the basics.

Yes, a statistics major would be very very helpful especially if data science is your goal. Statistics is one of the cornerstones of data science and also plays a big role in finance and economics as well.
