Minoring in a minor offered by another university school

I was accepted into the George Mason Honors College and the Schar School of Policy and Government as a government and international politics major. I would like to double minor in international security and intelligence analysis; however I am aware that Intel. analysis is a minor within the college of humanities and social science. So, I was wondering, is this possible? Is it also possible to cross schools when double majoring? I feel like it would be, but I want to know now so I can plan accordingly.

Please help me if any of you have any advice or insight. I am also currently applying for financial aid; is George Mason generally regarded as generous or accommodating to expressed need students? FYI I am an OSS from Texas. Thanks again!

Contact the school directly and ask.

I intend to, but for now the university is closed for the holidays. Therefore, I must wait till they resume on the 4th.

Usually if you double major, you have to meet the requirements for each degree (foreign language, humanities, math, etc) and sometimes there is an increase in number of credits required (150 v 120).

Minors often don’t have those requirements, in that you only meet the requirements for the minor (25 credits, 30 credits), but of course you’ll have to ask the school.
