<p>Im planning to major in economics at UC Berkeley and am also planning to minor in math. In addition to this, i will also be taking few upper div. stats courses such as probability and theory of stats. will the math minor and upper div stats courses help me significantly compared to majoring in JUST econ for recruitment into consulting firms and i-banks?</p>
<p>and my 2nd question is: if the above is helpful, what if it takes me 5 years to do this?</p>
