I am currently in a school that is predominantly (about 65%) asian and I am looking into Vassar College. The thing is that I noticed that Vassar is predominantly caucasian. I am worried that being the minority race at a college might be a little weird and uncomfortable.

So I was wondering... have any of you been in my shoes but ended up going to a college where you were the minority race? How was it? Do you think it should be a major concern when applying to colleges? Also, does anybody know of any liberal arts colleges similar to Vassar, but with a larger asian population?

Thanks!

I go to a school that is about 85% caucasian, I'm one of the few hispanics I know of in the whole school. But it hasn't been a problem at all, at least not for me.
The Claremont Schools especially HMudd have more Asians.

Vassar is an excellent school, and it does have about a 10% asian population, I don't think you would feel alienated there.

i'm also a minority (hispanic) and am thinking about vassar. from what i hear, the school is very open to all types of people so i dont think you would have a problem there.

Im a minority(Black,my sn is my biggest hint...lol), if you like Vassar then Oberlin and Wesleyan are like Vassar a lot, and are extremely diverse. In addition to those Amherst, Williams, or some of the other seven sisters schools would be good choices. Good luck
