<p>I hope this thread doesn't offend anyone, as I don't mean to exclude anyone for I am excited about all my prospective classmates; however, I am interested in finding out how many minorities (well at least from CC) plan to attend next fall. WashU is pretty much a white school, but they have some nice minority organizations. I am an african american male coming from a 93 percent african american school. I have been fortunate enough to attend phillips academy andover's summer session for the past 3 summers through the (MS)2 [Math and Science for Minority Students] program where I have been exposed to and forged wounderful relations with students of all races and nationalities. However, I do find that it is a bit intimidating to go from being around so many people who look like you to very few for the next four years so I would very much like it if any minorites on CC who are planning to attend next fall come in and tell about themselves and we can kinda get a dialog going so we at least have somewhat of a feel for each other when we get there. Also, I hope non-minorites aren't a stranger to the thread either because I am eager to get to know everyone!</p>

<p>i'm a black female who will be at washu next year in the school of engineering. i'll be at the ervin thing in a couple of weeks too. i go to a school that's roughly 66% white and 30% black. as far as hobbies go i play rugby, am captain of my high school's quiz team and am a member of NSBE.</p>
