<p>I am an African-American male student at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, I have a 3.0 GPA, and in HS in had a 3.4 GPA and finished 8th in my class. I also made a 1720 Cumulative Score (Critical Reading+Math+Writing) on the SAT. I have several jobs and EC's. <p>It wil lbe very hard for you to get financial aid as an out of state student at a public university (in addition you wil be paying somewhere in the neighborhood of 30K). It will also be hard for you to get scholarship $$ as a transfer student because most of the money is used to entice freshmen. Howard tells you straight on their website what your ##s need to be in order to get merit $$ (but no $$ for transfers).</p>
