Has anyone done anything? I am thinking of calling them. I am mexican american.

I can personally say that both Yale and Penn's MRP both incredible.

I didn't call either, but if you get in, there is a good support line.

Thank you. I sent you a PM...

I assume that I am connected with the minority program if I am accepted...

Correct. PM replied!

Wow, thanks! Yale really seems to want us... :D

boo..
i didn't get any phone calls from undergrads in April... (i'm asian-american)

I've been contacted by the Multicultural Recruitment Program at Yale, too, with postcards and e-mails...my only question is, if the MRP has contacted us, does that mean that we have a pretty good chance of admission?

Janderoo, Im black, and I didnt get any phones calls after I got in either.

Before we apply, does this MRP mainly contact people in the Northeast? I was looking at the site, and it seems as though their open house is basically only for people in the NE? That makes sense, but I'm just curious, since I live in Florida, and have only gotten the usual mail and application from Yale.

I'm from the Northeast, they contacted me, and I got in. However, I don't really think there was a correlation b/c I never really got back to them; I'm still not entirely clear what the whole thing is about.

Buuuuut...if they did contact you I would recommend that you get back to them, if only to let them know that you show interest etc, etc.

galgrl24, where do you live in Florida? are you hispanic?

How does MRP choose who to contact? Off PSAT scores? Grades? Recs? What?

I had all three and they didnt talk to me....
