minors...

Alright, so, here's the deal. I think I'd like to have two minors at USC.

One in law and psychology, maybe even polysci, and another in cinama television.

But is there a cinema television minor?

And would a major and 2 minors be overwhelming? Would a double-major be a smarter path? DOes anybody have any advise from experience?

I could always ask at orientation, but since some current students roam this thread, I was wondering if anyone would have any input/advice.

Yes there is a cinema-tv minor - it's probably how the cinema school makes most of their tuition $$$, it's popular.

There isn't a major problem with 2 minors, but I would say that you should have a good amount of AP credits or be willing to stay for summers, unless you're OK with overloading units each semester (some people are)

I would consider a double-major first over 2 minors, but it all boils down to what you're interested in. My advice is to wait a semester (don't worry too much about your minors or double major for now) and then go to your advisors and find out what classes you will need for each option.

Then, pick the path that will have you take the most classes that you're interested in. Doesn't matter so much if it's two minors or majors, in the end it's all classes and you want to do the ones you like the most.

You do need to apply for the cinema-tv minor in advance; I do know that admission JUST FOR the minor is very competitive.

Thanks! would I have to apply for that minor once I'm at sc?

Yeah, I'm trying to become an animation minor too so I'm curious too.. somebody please inform us...
