Does anyone know how big an impact having a minor makes, especially for engineering majors? Particularly a business/business related minor.

Thanks

My son is a Computer Engineering major and is also attempting a minor in Japanese. This requires 12 hours of a Japanese classes every year. That is very tough to squeeze into an engineering curriculum. He is going to school this summer to help offset that time and may have to graduate a semester late if he still wants to do a junior year internship. Fortunately he does work for a tech company now while in school and that his counted as an internship. Work is 10 hours a week so he is a very very busy person.

It can be done but it adds some nasty work loads. I worry about him burning out with no summer off.

Ok thanks, but I should have been clearer. I mean does it impact potential employment greatly?
