Miracle products

Agree with you completely about replacing. I aim for 400 miles and can definitely feel the difference as I approach that mark.

Our entire family has converted to On shoes for both running and walking. They are more comfortable when the soles are completely worn than brand new shoes from Nike, New Balance and Adidas. More expensive, but oh so worth it for us anyway

I really like my Skechers, but I do need a new pair.

Going back to the miracle products, I really like Bac-Out for pet issues. Itā€™s an enzyme cleaner. Cleans up messes very nicely and has a lime citrus scent which I like.

Anyone have a miracle pet product to get out knots - I donā€™t brush/comb are dog often enough and tend to rely on scissors to much to get rid of the knots. Is there a detangler for dry dog hair that anyone recommends ? She runs when she sees me coming with comb in hand

Thanks for all the great feedback on walking shoes. I did go to my local running store for my last pair of running shoes - the result wasnā€™t as great as in the past - shoes were still a little tight, although wearable. Actually had better luck ordering off the internet.

Based on guidance here I did a specific search for ā€˜best walking shoesā€™ (rather than leading w/Oofos or Vionic) and found what looks like a good, decent-looking pairā€¦thanks again! Fingers crossed they work!

ShawWife loves Hokas for standing in the studio or moderate walks. We both have low cut La Sportiva hiking boots that we love. Both purchased in Italy in different years. ShawWife thinks hers are the most comfortable shoes she owns ā€“ though we both love our Keen Sandals (mine are Newport H2 and hers are Whisper. I hate the end of summer when I have to stop wearing my Keenā€™s.

I just saw this link this morning and was wondering whether they would be good for going outside with a little bit of snow or cold or rain.

@Jolynne_Smyth , break them in. Find out if you need the inserts. I bought the exact pair for our recent trip to Europe and I should have broken them in here and not on the trip! LOL. For some reason, even though there was a great fit, my big toes hurt like crazy. I hated the new socks I had bought but was stuck with them and they were tight. Can socks hurt your toes? If so, it was the socks and not the shoes.

This is so funny. I was complimenting my brother last night on his nice looking shoes - they were Orthofeet and he has a few pair and is SOLD.

Cowboy Magic works great on tangles. I also have a furminator and that works good but can be a bit harsh. I often use a Mars stripping knife that helps cut the hair. Try the cowboy magic first.

Is there a particular OOFOS shoe that folks recommend? Iā€™ve been experiencing arch pain - got the Vionic relax slippers recommended here on the forum and they are helping a great deal. Now, I just need casual sneakers/shoes to wear when I am out.

We are also planning a trip to Egypt in November and I know i"ll need good shoes for all the walking we will be doing.

This is what I used when my dog was in his full coat.

I also used a some conditioner mixed with distilled water in a spray bottle with good success. Les Pooches conditioner is my favorite.

No recommendation, but I tried on some Oofos yesterday, because so many people have recommended. I canā€™t stand things between my toes, and the slip on ones were way too wide for me. Iā€™m hoping I can find some of the slip ones that have Velcro to try on.

I ordered the OOmg eeZee low shoe yesterday along with a slipper (OOlala) that was on sale. Letā€™s see how it works out once it gets here. It does say 30 day free returns.

Their names are sure fun sounding!

We have similar, but opposite feet. I too hate things between my toes, but the slip-on ones were way too narrow for me. Iā€™m also hoping to try the velcro ones based on all the positive reviews on Oofos.

Speaking of miracle products, I m loving that Jones Road miracle balm. Reviewers complain of it feeling a tad sticky, which it does, but it makes older skin (ahem!) look younger and brighter. I have gotten compliments when I have used it. Itā€™s a great makeup for those of us who like the no makeup look. Having some trouble with this link - hope it works!

Editted to add you can use over foundation or by itself.

Thank you for sharing this too! I just ordered some for my toy poodle. :kissing_heart:

(She is often getting tangled and hates it when I try to comb them out.)

A friend and I have been talking about trying this. Did you find the color you ordered a good match?

Not sure it rises entirely to the level of miracle, but the Solo Stove really works and is far far better than any other outdoor fire solution weā€™ve tried (circle of stones, fire pit tables, etc.)

If you build the fire per the instructions it really does get extremely hot very quickly, reducing smoke and the need to constantly move your seat around to avoid it! We make far more outdoor fires than we ever did before. Also comes in handy for smores

Amazingly, yes! I did the online quiz, sure itā€™d be a disaster (because itā€™s often a disaster when i do it in person), and itā€™s great. Iā€™m thinking of ordering another to use as a bronzer.

I suspect because itā€™s sheer, itā€™s easier to match. Iā€™ll add that I have often had trouble matching color. My colleagues think the trick is that it reflects light. Dunno, but I am a fan.
