Miracle products

I had no idea she had a new company. Thanks for posting that.

@Bromfield2 , I have always used the pencils to cover redness, spots, lines, etc. The Jones Road ones are great.

My daughters have been huge proponents of Oloplex shampoo and conditioner which I thought was just hype from Instagram. I tried it recently and sad to say itā€™s ALL TRUE. LOL. My hair has never looked this good without a professional blow out. Do. Not. Ask. The . Cost.

Dyson supersonic hair dryer. Borrowed my daughterā€™s hair dryer one day while visiting and one slow pass with a round brush dries and leaves my hair really sleek, no flyaways, no need for flat iron. I have chin length straight hair styled in a bob. I was really impressed.

Would you say itā€™s worth the cost or not?

I ordered it and it was delivered today. Looking forward to finding out if its any better than my usual brands.

Not if you are on a tight budget. But if you donā€™t need to think about the cost (like its not going to make a difference in your life) then yes.

I have a Dyson Airwrap and absolutely love it. It also has a drying brush function, so I retired my hair dryer to the guest bath. Butā€¦ as Maya said, it is not something I would die without.

My daughter has been interested in a Dyson Airwrap and if she decides to get one and she doesnā€™t need the Dyson dryer, I may inherit it. The only reason I hadnā€™t bought one myself earlier is that my present dryer weighs much less.
I think if my hairdresser got a Dyson dryer, she will save a lot of time for herself and her clients because when she blowdries my hair, she goes through each section multiple times and the Dyson will be at least 70% faster.

I purchased a Dyson hair dryer after my stylist started using one and recommended it. She has the professional version (@$100 up charge from regular model). Unfortunately, she has now had to have 2 replaced under warrantee in about a year and a half. Not encouraging and I have my fingers crossed, though mine is only used 10-15 minutes a week. I do like it; bad reviews tend to complain about longevity. If you have one, my stylist says to be sure to clean the filter at the base often as Dyson emphasized that with her.

This is not technically in the spirit of this thread, since I am not actually recommending this, but I have seen this product recommended everywhere and I am wondering if anyone else uses it or something similar? I sit at a computer a lot which is terrible for the neck and I notice my range of motion is not as good as it used to be when I am doing morning yoga.

Reporting back on my Olaplex experience with my crazy a&& hair (super fine hairs but thick and not-quite-kinky curly).

I tried the shampoo and conditioner today. I skipped my other usual product before I dried it with my round brush dryer as I normally do.

I will do a few more tests before I become a regular customer, but all I can say right now is WOW! My hair feels incredibly soft and light in a way that usually requires a fresh haircut and a lot of product or a professional blowout.

Iā€™m thinking maybe Iā€™ll try another high end shampoo and conditioner (itā€™s been awhile since Iā€™ve done that) and compare those results.

Do a bit more research on the Olaplex hair product. There are some controversies that the chemical may cause hair loss.

Yikes! Thanks for the warning. I will be careful to pay attention.

Yea, those negative hair-loss reviews scared me off.

My new miracle product is this pet hair remover for the washer/dryer

I think it works pretty well. Lots of hair deposited into the lint traps. Not perfect, but I have a really hairy dog so Iā€™ll take all the help I can get.

I wanted to give one more report about my experience with Olaplex. Iā€™ve been using it for a month now. At this point, I am a convertā€“which is sort of crazy because Iā€™m generally a pretty frugal person.

Iā€™ve had no issues with hair falling out. In fact, I am certain that I am losing less hair. I donā€™t think itā€™s because less is falling out but rather that significantly less of my fine but super curly hair is breaking when I brush or style it.

I donā€™t even feel like I need to use my regular product (Paul Mitchellā€™s Super Skinny) anymore. My hair is softer and shinier than itā€™s been my whole adult life. I have tried a lot of salon shampoos and conditioners and I never thought they left my hair feeling or looking any different than my usual whatever-Costco-is-selling brand.

That price tag thoughā€“whew. If anyone knows how to save money on their products, please let us know. Otherwise I am going to justify the expense because I spend very little on my hairā€“so even with the high cost, I will still be spending a lot less than I would if I still went to the salon every 8 weeks.

Iā€™ve read other similar reviews and Iā€™d love to try it but I canā€™t get the pictures out of my mind of people who filed a lawsuit against the company claiming hair loss.
I agree with you about some of the expensive shampoos- I see no difference vs less expensive.

I tried the Wen products 10 years or so ago. That did make my hair fall out. I have plenty to spare so it wasnā€™t noticeable but yikes! Regular shampoos make my BILā€™s hair fall out. I do pay attention to that. Different people have different sensitivities I guess.
