<p>If they were leaving as a general rule, the schools wouldn’t keep admitting them. Yes, they take a gamble on some students, but it’s always a calculated gamble. No college wants people flunking out and leaving. Even assuming that they don’t care about what happens to the student – which in most cases, I believe they do – it makes the college look bad.</p>
