As of now I am an MIS major. I have an internship with Deloitte this summer in the IT Advisory services, but I want to pick up a minor my senior year. I was going to do international business, but I think accounting would be more suited with my MIS degree, even though the thought of it makes me cringe. Should I switch to accounting? It would be the same number of courses as IB would. Would it prepare me more for a job in a "Big 4" firm such as Deloitte?

bump…

That’s not a bad choice.

Not bad but maybe finance could be also.

Both are little value adds. Both will screw your resume if you can’t explain why they’re on there. Although MIS in finance is pretty lucrative (with a ton of pressure and high turnover) so if you want to do that, the finance minor would help.

If you want to do something truly MIS-related (not a finance or accounting hybrid), go for Speech Communication. Communication skill is one of the most sought-after traits, and it will make you a better employee all-around.

How about double major in MIS and Informatics ?
