So I recently submitted my Common Application with the necessary essay that goes with it and I realized I may have written something that was not “officially” true.
I’m taking French 4 right now and there’s only one other person in my class. However, we were put in a French 3 class and my teacher gave us the option to redo the French 3 AP material to take the AP test again. The other student wanted to get a better score on the test so he opted to redo the material. By official records he’s still a French 4 student.
In my essay I talked about being the “only” one in the French 4 class and I talked about how I was really enthusiastic about studying French that I finished up all the curriculum my teacher had planned for the year in just 2 months. All of this is true, but officially I’m not the “only” student in French 4. I did mention that I was put with other French 3 students.
Could this be a problem for universities if they decide to look into it or am I just panicking? Just in case, should I write a letter or email to the universities clarifying that I did not mean to write something that was misleading?
